Using Insights Manager

Insights Manager is your one-stop platform for unlocking actionable insights about your locations. This guide will walk you through how to access Insights Manager, available insights, how to enable them for Location Groups, and how to interpret them to inform better advertising strategies.

How to Access

  1. Go to https://insights.groundtruth.com 

     


How to Add Locations

  1. From the left navigation menu, select My Locations.
  2. Click the "Add Location" button the top right corner.

 

 

  1. Select from 3 options to add locations:
    1. Option 1: Add Location (Manual)
      1. Start entering a business name and address into the Your business address field.
      2. Choose the location that best aligns with your inputted details from the drop-down options.
        1. If the location is not available, click "Add a new location."
    2. Option 2: Upload Location File
      1. Download the template by clicking blue "Download" text.
      2. Input location data following the template's format (business name, address, phone number).
      3. Upload the file either by dragging and dropping OR selecting from computer.

 

  1. Option 3: Select From System
    1. Select from Brands, Categories, Location Groups, and POI IDs from the GroundTruth system.
    2. Use the location filter by city, state, DMA, and/or ZIP code.

 


How to Run an Insights Report

  1. From the My Locations page, click the Blueprinted tab.
  2. Select the locations you want to include in the Insights Report.

 

  1. After locations are selected, click Run Insights button.

  • In "Insight Name" field, enter what you would like to name the report for reference.
  • Confirm the selected locations are those that you wish to include in the report, deleting locations you do not want to include.
  • Click Run Insights button.

What to Expect: Processing and Lookback

Reports use a 120-day lookback window and can take up to 5 hours to process. Your report will move to Completed status once it is ready.


How to View an Insights Report

  1. From the left navigation menu, click Insights.
  2. Either stay on the All insights tab and navigate to reports with Completed status, or click on the Completed tab to view only reports with Completed status.
  3. Find the Insights Report you wish to view.
  4. Click on the eye icon.

 


Types of Insights Available

All insights are derived from raw visitation data observed across the blueprinted locations within your Location Group. These insights are not influenced by GroundTruth media, offering a pure view of visitation behavior.

Insights include:

  • Visit breakdown by time of day
  • Visit breakdown by day of week
  • Time interval visits
  • Age, gender, income distribution
  • Top performing stores
  • Drive-to distance
  • Top crossover brands
  • Top audiences
  • Top visited ZIP codes
  • Top home ZIP codes
