Understanding the Ads Manager Structure
When you sign up for Ads Manager, you create what we call a tenant. A tenant serves as your primary advertiser account within the Ads Manager platform. From here, you can manage and organize your advertising efforts effectively.
1. Tenant
The tenant is your overarching account in Ads Manager. It is your primary identity as an advertiser.
2. Organizations
Under each tenant, you can create organizations. Most tenants only need one organization, but you have the flexibility to create multiple organizations if necessary. For instance, you might organize your account by geography or market:
-
Example: TenantName-DFW-Market
-
Example: TenantName-Florida
This allows you to better manage campaigns tailored to specific regions or business needs.
3. Accounts
Within each organization, you can set up accounts, which typically represent clients. For example, if you are an ad agency, you might create separate accounts for each of your clients.
4. Campaigns and Ad Groups
Within each account, you can create ad campaigns to run advertisements. Campaigns can be further divided into ad groups, which represent different advertising tactics or strategies within a single campaign.
Example Hierarchy

By following this structure, you can efficiently manage and track all your advertising efforts across multiple clients, regions, or strategies.
