AI-powered audiences built for future intent
Overview
ZeroToOne predictive audiences use AI and continuously refreshed behavioral signals to identify consumers most likely to take action before it happens. Audiences refresh daily and leverage prediction windows ranging from 24 hours to 30 days to capture near-term in-market intent.
Unlike traditional audience targeting based on historical behavior or lookalike modeling, predictive audiences are designed to identify consumers actively moving toward a future action, helping advertisers improve efficiency, reduce wasted impressions, and drive stronger campaign outcomes.
How Predictive Audiences Work
ZeroToOne predictive audiences are powered by AI models that analyze large-scale behavioral signals across:
- location visitation
- consumer interests
- transaction patterns
- digital engagement
- demographic signals
The model continuously evaluates these behaviors to predict which consumers are most likely to take a specific action within a defined time window.
Audiences refresh daily to ensure targeting remains current as consumer behavior changes.
Prediction Windows
Each predictive audience includes a prediction window indicating when a user is likely to take action.
| Prediction Window | Example Use Cases |
|---|---|
| 24–48 Hours | Immediate visitation intent |
| 7 Days | Active shopping consideration |
| 14–30 Days | Longer purchase journeys |
Prediction windows help advertisers align targeting strategies with real-world consumer decision timelines.

Best Practices
- Use Predictive Audiences for Prospecting
Predictive audiences are best suited for identifying new high-intent consumers before conversion occurs.
- Avoid Over-Layering Targeting
Predictive audiences are already optimized by AI. Applying excessive additional targeting filters may reduce audience scale and performance.
Audience Refresh & Frequency Controls
Predictive audiences refresh daily as consumer behavior changes.
While daily refreshes reduce the need for aggressive recency management, advertisers should still use appropriate:
- frequency caps
- pacing controls
- budget allocation strategies
- creative rotation best practices
Campaign delivery settings remain controlled within the activation platform.
Suppression & Audience Movement
Users may dynamically enter or exit predictive audiences as their behavior changes.
For example:
- A user predicted to visit an auto repair shop may enter an audience
- Once the visit occurs, the user’s predicted propensity may change
- The user may then exit the predictive audience automatically
This helps maintain audience relevance and efficiency over time.
Predictive vs Deterministic Audiences
| Predictive Audiences | Deterministic Audiences |
|---|---|
| Future-looking | Historical-looking |
| Predict likely future actions | Based on observed past behavior |
| Prospecting-focused | Retargeting/retention-focused |
| Dynamic daily refresh | Historical visitation-based |
Both strategies can be complementary depending on campaign objectives.
